Express Entry is Canada's system for managing permanent residence applications under three federal economic programs. It's for skilled workers — whether applying from abroad, already working in Canada, or in a skilled trade — who meet the eligibility criteria for at least one of the three programs.
FSW is for foreign work experience and uses its own 67-point grid before CRS applies. CEC is for candidates with Canadian work experience and has no minimum education requirement. FST is for tradespeople and requires either a job offer or a certificate of qualification.
